Crib mattress
Absolutely! It is as firm as necessary and as comfortable as possible. Thanks to its air permeability, it ensures a pleasant microclimate in the baby bed at all times, so that your baby sweats less and sleeps better!
The 2-stage design makes our mattress firm enough for infants and comfortable enough for growing toddlers. Your child can use the mattress from birth until around age 4, depending on how quickly they outgrow the bed.
The fact that it can be washed right down to the core ensures that ita alwaya like new, so that you can even pass the mattress on to siblings or friends after a long period of use.
The core consists of a variety of polymer threads, a type of soft, food-safe plastic. By the way, a yogurt cup is made of the same material!
The removable cover has a soft Lyocell surface, an industrially produced fiber made from the wood of the eucalyptus plant. A spacer fabric is woven into it, so that a layer of air is created in the cover. Only in this combination core and cover ensure maximum comfort with maximum air permeability!
Yes! As every parent knows, spills and accidents can happen. So in order that your baby can continue sleeping directly on the sproutling after a nighttime accident, we recommend always having an extra cover on hand. You can add an extra cover to your shopping cart here .
The cover has a full-length zipper around the mattress so it can be easily changed and washed when needed!
We are very proud that our mattresses are made in Germany. This means we not only offer exceptionally high quality, but also short transport routes to your front door.
All sproutling products are hypoallergenic. This means babies can enjoy hygienic sleep free of mold, mites and bacteria. This not only has a beneficial effect on the health of children with allergies , but also prevents them from developing in completely healthy children.
The baby mattress can be chosen between two sizes : 60x120 cm and 70x140 cm. These are also the most common sizes for baby beds.
We now also offer mattresses for additional beds.
To make sure our baby mattress fits your baby bed, check the size of your bed before purchasing.
Cover:
Carefully remove the cover using the all-round zipper. For best results when washing and drying, you should leave the zipper unzipped. We recommend washing at 40 degrees in the washing machine with mild detergent. Make sure that other items in the wash cannot damage the cover. After washing, pull the cover into shape and let it air dry lying flat. Don't hang it up or use the dryer.
Core:
Place the mattress core in the shower or bathtub and clean it with cold to lukewarm water. You can also use mild detergent. Shake the core vigorously to loosen any trapped water droplets inside the core. Then place it in a well-ventilated area to dry for the next 2-6 hours. Do not use a hand dryer or hairdryer as this can damage the material.
Important: Only use the mattress again when the core is completely dry!
We recommend only cleaning the mattress if there has been a spill or an accident. You shouldn't wash them too often to avoid putting unnecessary strain on the materials. Be sure to read the care instructions beforehand, which you can find directly on the mattress or here on our website.
No, it is ready for use immediately after delivery. You don't have to air it before use, as it doesn't "smell" due to the high-quality materials and German manufacturing. If you still want to ventilate it, you are of course welcome to do so.
Our mattress is unique in its construction and has the same level of firmness throughout, meaning you don't need to flip the mattress as your baby grows. Each side is therefore always the right one. Our mattresses meet all required standards of firmness necessary for growth and safety of development. They are more comfortable than traditional mattresses and allow you and your baby to sleep well every night.
Our mattress has a firm level of firmness that prevents infants from sinking into the mattress. At the same time, this supports the development of the musculoskeletal system. Nevertheless, it is super comfortable and airy, so babies sleep better and longer.
Our 2-stage Original mattress is designed to grow with your baby and has unique durability. It's firm enough for your little ones, but comfortable enough for a growing toddler. If it can be washed down to the core, it will always be like new and can even be passed on to siblings or friends.
This isn't required, but you're welcome to do so! Since the mattress has the same firmness everywhere, this is not a problem.
Yes, you can use a fitted sheet on your mattress. Be sure to pay attention to breathability so that the air permeability of the mattress is not impaired. We therefore only recommend muslin fitted sheets made from organic cotton , which are very breathable due to their coarse weave and are therefore perfect for our mattress. The STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is internationally one of the best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. If a product bears the STANDARD 100 label, this means that all components have been tested for harmful substances and the item is harmless to health.

Our super soft fitted sheets are made from 100% premium organic cotton and GOTS certified. They guarantee maximum comfort for your baby and get even softer with every wash!
Our muslin fitted sheets are designed to fit any other mattress in the respective dimensions. However, for a perfect fit, your mattress should not exceed 10cm in height.
Please note, for the Oliver Furniture Wood Mini+ Basic mattress you can use our fitted sheets in size 60x120cm.
Our muslin fitted sheets are made in Portugal. We attach great importance to the exceptionally high quality and origin of our products, as well as short transport routes.
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is an internationally established quality seal that recognizes natural textiles whose production adheres to strict standards at every stage of production that take the entire ecosystem into account.
The GOTS certification of our textile products means that they are completely free of harmful substances and have the best possible quality you can find for your baby.
The cover is not waterproof as this would hinder breathability. Most dirt stays on the machine washable cover, making it easy to remove stains.
We do not recommend waterproof covers for babies up to 1 year old to avoid compromising the breathability of the mattress so that babies can breathe through the mattress. However, in the later months, you can use a waterproof pad on your mattress.
We recommend avoiding the mattress topper until your child is around 10 months to a year old. This allows your baby to breathe freely while their muscles and movements are still developing. The entire mattress is fully washable and we offer an extra mattress cover so you always have a replacement cover for nightly changes. As your child grows and messes become larger, you can use a waterproof mattress topper for faster cleaning while maintaining the comfort of the mattress.
Order & Delivery
If you purchase the mattress, delivery may take up to 2 weeks. Please note the current delivery time on the mattress product page. For accessories such as bed sheets, your order will arrive within approximately 3-5 business days. Our products are shipped from different locations and may arrive at different times. You will receive an email notification with a tracking number for each item in your order once the item ships. Pay attention to your confirmation emails and other communications from sproutling as we strive to keep you informed of any shipping updates.
Yes, we try to deliver all of your ordered items in one package. Sometimes due to stock levels we may ship products separately. You will receive a tracking number for each item when the item has been shipped.
We deliver your dream products directly to your door with our service provider DHL .
Since the package is very large, we strongly recommend that you be at home on the day of delivery so that you can receive the package in person and avoid additional work. 🧘♀️
We currently deliver to Germany with free shipping, as well as Austria and Switzerland. Shipping to other countries is currently not possible, but we are working hard to make sproutling products available to more countries in the future!
You can do that. However, we recommend that you check, especially with our mattress, whether a packing station can store this size of packages (approx. 70x140 cm).

At this time we cannot postpone the delivery of orders. Every order is processed as soon as it is placed and items are shipped in approximately 1-5 business days (depending on available shipping date). Orders will be delivered within 2-5 business days after dispatch.

All returned items that have been used or opened will be recycled and never resold or refurbished.

All returns must be made within 14 days of purchase and the item must not be used or damaged.
If you purchased a mattress from an authorized sproutling retailer, their return policy applies.
For a successful return, please first register it at returns@sproutlingbaby.com . Please make sure that the items are returned in the original packaging. Items returned within the above period and in original condition will be refunded in the same form as the original payment.
